Kids & Dogs Summer Camp

This is a fun, educational, interactive, and hands-on summer camp designed for kids aged 7 to 14 to learn how to be better companions to their animal friends. Kids will learn through animal enrichment activities:

• Dog Body Language - What are our dogs trying to communicate to us?

• Dog Obedience - Basic obedience commands every child should know with their pets.

• Dog Tricks - Fun tricks that kids will love to teach and have their dogs play with them at home.

• Dog Agility - Introduction to “fun-gility” for kids and dogs. Great for beginners!

• Dog Grooming - How to maintain our dogs at home in between grooming visits.

• Dog Care - How to better care for our furry companions at home.

• Games with Kids & Dogs - Interactive games that kids can play with their dogs at home.

There will also be art projects, outdoor play, and music activities throughout the day to keep kids engaged. This program is led by a Certified Dog Trainer and an experienced educator.

NOTE: Kids may bring their own dogs to camp but ALL dogs attending camp MUST be pre-approved daycare members with Woofur (daycare assessment appointments must be arranged at least 2 weeks prior to the start of camp) to ensure behaviour and temperament are suitable. All kids must be able to control, handle, and walk their dogs properly in order for their dogs to attend camp.

Summer Camp Logistics:

Week 1: July 8th - July 12th

Week 2: August 12th - August 16th

*Please note: Both weeks are open to new and experienced campers. There will not be a level differentiation between these weeks. Activities/exercises will be modified to suit each camper’s level of handling skills.

Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Cost: $435 per week

BRING MY OWN DOG OPTION:

EXTENDED CARE OPTIONS:

• Before Care: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM ($25/week)
• After Care: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM ($25/week)

TO COMPLETE THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS:

STEP 1: Purchase your child’s spot for Summer Camp. Please select either Week 1 or 2 for enrollment.
Please note that OPTIONS like Extended Care (i.e. before or after care) or Bring Your Own Dog may be added to your purchase at this time.

STEP 2: After confirming availability and purchasing a spot for your child, please complete the following Registration Form to complete the enrollment process. All completed forms must be emailed to info@woofur.ca
