Successful dog training starts with a solid foundation. The Woofur Canine Foundation Program is designed to help you build a trusting relationship with your dog while developing the essential knowledge and practical skills needed for successful training.
Through this 6-week hybrid program, you will participate in a combination of 2 live virtual classes and 4 in-person classes. Using Woofur's Holistic Approach to Dog Training, you will gain a deeper understanding of your dog while learning practical techniques to support their training, behaviour, confidence, and overall well-being.
Program Details
- Format: Hybrid Learning (2 Virtual Classes + 4 In-Person Classes)

- Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Throughout the program, you will work alongside our instructor and fellow dog owners while learning practical techniques that can be applied both during class and in your everyday life.

At Woofur, we believe that successful training begins with understanding the dog as a whole.
Our approach incorporates knowledge from multiple areas, including canine behavioural theory, canine body language, positive reinforcement, nutrition, and overall wellness. Because a dog's behaviour can be influenced by many factors, our training focuses not only on what your dog does, but also on understanding why they may behave that way.
By building this understanding, you will gain the knowledge and confidence to better support your dog's learning, development, and overall well-being.
A Strong Foundation for Continued Training
The Canine Foundation Program is designed to give both you and your dog the skills needed to move forward confidently in your training journey.
Successful completion of this program is a prerequisite for enrolling in Woofur's Manners & Obedience series of classes.

Delivery Model
This course is delivered via a hybrid of virtual learning and in-person modules.
Foundations Module — 2 Live Virtual Classes
- The first two classes focus on the essential knowledge behind successful dog training. These sessions allow you to learn and better understand the key principles that influence your dog's behaviour and development.
Practical & Socialization Module — 4 In-Person Classes
- The remaining four classes focus on hands-on learning and practical application. You and your dog will work alongside our instructor to develop and practise the skills introduced throughout the program.
