Cambridge Houndstooth

The Cambridge Houndstooth harness is named after the ultramarine, blue-green river in London called the “Granta” that was later called Cambridge, which officially became a city in 1951.  The Houndstooth originated in the 1800s with its canine-inspired broken check shape, which was influenced by the uneven outline of a hound dog’s tooth.  This classic design imprinted on the exquisite, azure fabric with the indigo-sapphire, polished ribbing running along the sleek edges captivates as a striking statement piece fit for any grandeur breed.  The Great Dane’s lineage were bred in the courts of German nobility since the start of the 17th century and were accustomed to stay in the bedchambers of their lords as protectors.
